Be sure of the contents of your contract.
After you get the job-offer, you sign a contract with the company you are to work for. Confirm the following seven items are in the contract when you exchange the contract. When you confirm these items, you will sign or put your seal on the contract. Be sure to sign or stamp with your seal personally. You should keep a copy of the contract. It will be required in event of any trouble.
②Period of employment ※Japanese companies tend to recruit for the long-term ( More than one year )
③Place of work
④Hours of work ( Start and finish time)
⑤Whether or not overtime work is required ( To exceed the hours of work decided by contract (Ref No.④）
⑥Break time⇒ When, How long, where etc.
⑦Payment ⇒ Hourly wage, Pay day, Payment method,Whether transport expenses are paid or not
※「時給」、⇒ The wage per one hour
※The minimum wage is decided by law in Osaka. The minimum is currently 858 yen per one hour. Please confirm that your wage is above the minimum.
You should not skip work or be late without giving notice.
Absence and being late without notice is not permitted even if you are a casual worker. It will cause inconvinience for the company and co-workers. You need to contact the company before hand. It is important to be punctual and faithful in Japan
Record your working time and wage
You should record the work days, time and the wages you received to prevent any misunderstanding in situations like unpaid wages.
If any trouble happens ?
If any trouble happens in your work-place, talk with the responsible person (usually the manager of the shop) If you can not get any conclusion as a result of having talks with the manager, you should contact NLiss
