STEP3 準備しよう

When you receive the date and time for the interview, you should prepare for the following so that you are not in a panic on that day.

Prepare your resume

prepare a resume which meets the company’s requirements
A resume is a document which requires personal information such as your name,contact details, job experiences, certificated skills and motivation for applying. There is a lot of personal information.
Resume is  essential to work in Japan.
A resume form is available for downloading from the internet, or you can get it at a stationery or convenience store.

You must follow the format for the resume.

* Use a black ball-point pen or oil-based black ink pen.
* colored pens,  pencil or a mechanical pencil are not accepted.
* When you miswrite, it is required  to use a new form, Use of correction liquid is not accepted.

履歴書

①Fill in the date of submitssion
②Put a photo written your full name on the back. The photo should have been taken within three months.
③④Write “Hiragana”, or how to pronounce on your address.  If the contact address is the same as the place you are living at now, just write 「同上」、“Ås above”.
⑤⑥First, write your educational background, next, your work experiences in order starting from oldest . Write 「以上」“That’s all”, on the right side of the last line.
⑦Write the qualification which is most relevant to prospective employers
⑧~⑩The important thing is to show your interest and enthusiasm specifically with your own words.

You must know the profile of prospective employer

Before the interview, you must research the profile of prospective employer from the internet or employment referrals. If you don’t know about prospective employer, not only will it be rude to prospective employer but also it will make you unease.


Check how to get to the place for the interview.

You must know the date and the place for interview. Please prepare a travel plan and time table before hand.


Prepare answers accordingly

You need to prepare answers for questions during the interview. For example, your reason for application, when you can start work, the day of the week and the time to you are available to work etc.

Dress code

You should wear appropriate neat clothing on the day of interview!
・Choose grey, dark blue or black colored suit
・Keep your hair style neat, your finger nails clean and wear clean shoes. Check yourself in the mirror.
・Avoid heavy makeup, showy nails, strong perfume and improper high-heeled shoes.

<Men>
Face: Be clean shaven, clean eye mucus and check nostril hairs.
Hair: Must be clean. Long hair style and bright hair coloring are inappropriate.
Nails: clean your fingernails.
Clothing: Check for dirt, stains or wrinkles. Wear clean socks with no holes. Avoid showy watches.

<Women>
Face: Choose natural makeup and avoid showy lipstick and eye-makeup
Hair: Must be clean. Avoid the following ⇒ *Hair: inappropriate long hair, bright artificial coloring *
Nails: Avoid long nails and painted nail-art. *
Dress: Do not wear showy dress or a short skirt.
Accessories : Do not wear showy pierced earrings, necklaces, bracelets, watches etc.
